Visitors’ tax and Communauté de Communes
Across the Pays des Écrins, the Communauté de Communes (Federation of municipalities) instituted the visitors’ tax on a real occupation basis. The visitors’ tax is regulated by a decision voted on 29 September 2016 by the Pays des Écrins’ Communauté de Communes Committee.
Revenue from the visitors’ tax is used to encourage the community’s tourism activities or for costs relating to actions in favour of protecting and managing natural spaces in the area for tourism purposes.
